There are so many things to be thankful for and so many people to be even more thankful for. This podcast has brought me so many friends and I am so blessed to know you all!

I have been rereading Twilight for the first time since I was in my early 20’s and for what?! For FUN?!

I’m trying another YouTube reading sprint and you’re all invited! 📖

The first one I did in February, I prepped, I primped, and no one showed up — I was so embarrassed! I said “ope, never doing this again” but a few days ago I told myself to try it once more because I find it fun! Why not try again, right?!

✔️My BFF got married and she picked me to be in the wedding 🥹 Not sorry that I requested Hot Girl Summer to drop it low to on the dance floor in front of the parents 🤷‍♀️😂

✔️Took some bookish adventures, including going to the Meet Me on North Milwaukee book crawl and taking the train to Chicago to see some of my favorite book/author/PA friends.

The break was great but I’m excited to start up Megan’s Bookish Life back up💁‍♀️ I missed you all!

Yesterday, @thewellreddamsel and @mkebooksbeers put on the most fun book crawl I’ve ever been to. Located on one long street, I got to see some author friends, hang out with book people, and get my books signed with the quote “to my biggest fan” (because that’s my thing these days 😂)

I also wore a new Twilight shirt that I bought at Spencer’s and it was a hit. Someone tried to get my attention and goes “hey twilight girl, they’re selling a twilight sticker here” and I really felt SEEN😮‍💨👏

Thank you to everyone who made this book crawl in Milwaukee so fun. The volunteers, the authors, and book people as a whole🩷📚

I’ve had very many 5 star reads this year😳😍

I’ve only read 34 books but my goodness, I’m on a ROLL with these bangers! I wanted to share my last 2 five stars I read because it’s a must 👏

1. Sunrise on the Reaping. Without spoilers, I would like to yell at every single person who said “this book is sooooo good” to me but single-handedly forgot to mention the whole book is just a pile of devastating events?! Anyway, 5/5 stars but will probably never read another Hunger Games book because I was way too affected😅

2. Loving a Vampire is Total Chaos by @aurahayesauthor . Now, I have tagged this writing duo in too many posts and even a TikTok but it’s because I loved this book so much (I’m so sorry, Aura Hayes😮‍💨😂) It was super unique and cute but also a little gory in the way it was supposed to be (I promise that makes sense with the plot lol) I need book number 2 right now and I’m not even a big series reader. Wow okay I’m back in my vampire era - what about it?

This podcast has brought me endless joy during these last 3 years. It showed me that going back to college to finally get my degree in journalism was the right path. Let me tell you, though, I’ve been reading some GOOD ones this year. These 3 were my last 5⭐️ star reads so here’s me yapping about them:

🃏One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig. I’m not a huge fantasy reader but I bought this book because everyone on Bookstagram read it (it’s called peer pressure!!!!!!!) and I picked it up this year. GOODNESS GRACIOUS, I’M HOOKED. I’m currently 50% through book 2 aka the last book and for once, Bookstagram was SO right👏

🚢 Ship of Dreams by @authorkelseypainter. I loved this unique plot so much! Kelsey wove nonfiction, which was the Titanic story, with a fictional love story and it made me feel so many emotions. There is an HEA, trust me, and it’s perfect 🤌

🇮🇸 Out of Thin Air by Anthony Adeane. A random nonfiction book I found in a LFL that made me go 🤯 It’s an Icelandic true story of how a couple people confessed to 2 m*rders in the 1970’s but they actually didn’t do it. But it’s REALLY about police corruption, the battle of clearing the innocent that were found guilty with no evidence, and how people try to move on from their trauma but at the end of the day, they never will. It got a few low reviews online but I honestly loved it.

Now, I’m currently reading Two Twisted Crowns (physical), Savage Lands by Stacey Marie Brown (audio), and about to start Loving a Vampire is Total Chaos by Aura Hayes (Kindle.)
