New Podcast Blog for Readers

Hello to my Megan’s Bookish Life listeners and friends! If you’re on this page, you know that I’m the host of Megan’s Bookish Life Podcast (but if you know nothing about me, totally understandable; take a look at my About Me page: https://megansbookishlife.wixsite.com/podcast/about)

If you’ve been a listener for a while, you may know about how I interview readers sometimes for the podcast and those segments are called Reading Roundups. I love chatting with readers because as a book lover, I love nothing more than a community of a shared passion.

I have been grappling with the segment for a while and how to make it as fun for the listeners as it is to record with the guests. After I put everything in perspective with how to proceed with Reading Roundups and how to niche down with the podcast in general, I have decided to ultimately cut reader interviews as an audio format. With having to pay out of pocket costs to edit episodes and to have them out in a timely manner in between author interviews and lifestyle content, I feel like this was the right decision. BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE! (A good kind of ‘more’ though!) The Bookish Life Blog, the page you are currently on right now, is dedicated to the readers of the world. Instead of listening to audio, I will be posting Reader Recs on here for you all to read. I will highlight a reader in each post and you will be able to see what books they love, which books they are reading and what their thoughts are so far, and answers to questions like “do you REALLY judge a book by its cover?”

Reader Recs are posts dedicated to book lovers. Readers make Megan’s Bookish Life (and my world) go ‘round. After taking out Reading Roundups, I knew I had to continue it somewhere else. I would like to post one reader every 2 weeks, but if I have a lot of people, maybe once a week. This blog is not going to be posted with my reading recs, though, or my thoughts on books. That will happen with my new newsletter (please sign up!
